Head Scanner From Space

Seriously, it's really fun.

So apparently if you disappear from the internet for a few days people start to think you are off having a baby! Don't worry though, I didn't have him yet, we just went on a mini vacation to Yellowstone. I was going to keep posting while we were there, but then I decided to play instead. We are so happy to have our friends, the Hellers, visiting us! We loved spending time with their family in Germany and it is so good to see them again. We all met up with my grandparents and spent a couple of days in Yellowstone. The weather was surprisingly warm, and the days were just beautiful! I didn't take any pictures, so these are all from Bernd and Carola.

It was really wonderful, especially because Bryce took such good care of me while we wandered around the wilderness. Ah, he is really the best.

If you haven't been to Yellowstone I highly recommend it. There is so much to do and see!

All my life I have hated meatloaf. Also all my life people have been tying to convince me that I actually like meatloaf. There used to be a band called "Creed" (if you are too young or too old to know who they were just stay that way, don't Google them; Google Justin Bieber or Elmo or something instead). I have always hated Creed, but when I came to college people started trying to convince me that I actually liked them.
And then there is Halloween. Everyday this week I have explained some reasons why I hate Halloween. Obviously my logic is irrefutable, but is anybody taking down their decorations? Is anybody writing the president to ask if we can cancel this horrible day? No. Everyone is saying:

I will never change.

Reasons I Hate Halloween, Part 4

What are we really celebrating?

What a bad holiday.

Reasons I Hate Halloween Part 3

It distracts everyone.

If Halloween wasn't around we could all spend the beginning of fall looking forward to the wonderful day that is Thanksgiving.

I love you pumpkin pie!

Reasons I Hate Halloween, Part 1

It's only Spetember 19th and there are already weird animatronic skeletons chattering at me in the grocery store, giant inflatable spiders encroaching on the garden section, and cheapy ugly Halloween costumes stinking up the candy section.

It's no secret that I am an enemy to Halloween, but I realized I haven't really explained why. Be prepared friends, my reasons are plentiful. Today's reason is, skanky costumes.

Pretty much, any character or profession you can think of has a Halloween costume. The problem is what the costumes are like:

Seriously, what self respecting witch goes out in her undies? The police woman costumes are so rampant that if you Google image search "Police Woman" you won't even get one picture of a regular American police officer. What message is this horrible holiday sending? "Follow your dreams little girls! You can be whatever you want to be, as long as what you want to be doesn't wear clothes!"

You might think that maternity Halloween costumes would be better.
But you'd be wrong about that.
I hate Halloween!

Outrageous Dessert

Imagine there is a little lump of cookie dough, just sitting there, when suddenly it is eaten by a wild cinnamon roll! Now the cinnamon roll is feeling pretty smug, all full of cookie, so it doesn't realize a huge mass of glaze is coming to swallow it up. That is what this dessert is.First make some cookie dough. I was planning on making miniature cinnamon rolls to I made my dough a little but thin and used mini chips.
Then you make cinnamon rolls. This is my favorite recipe for cinnamon rolls.
I rolled the dough thin, again for cinni-mini purposes. Then you slather the whole thing with butter. Don't skimp on the butter. If a bunch of butter makes you squirmy you should reconsider some of your life choices, mainly the one where you chose to make chocolate-chip-cookie-dough -stuffed cinnamon rolls.
Next comes cinnamon and sugar.
And then an army of little cookie dough balls.
Roll it all up and use a piece of floss to slice them.
Be warned, when you cook them they are liable to explode a bit.
But just slather them in whatever kind of glaze you like and they will look alright!
I thought these were pretty tasty. The cookie dough of turns into a kind of choclately caramel. I wouldn't recommend making them normal cinnamon roll sized though, the body can only handle so much!
